Leah Halloran, Jenn Davila and Nacho all raced in the Willoughby Lions Duathlon/Biathlon on June 14th. Aussie Rob was kind enough to volunteer for the event, working the registration table and the finish line. From Leah:
Jenn, Nacho and I all did the Lions Duathlon and Biathlon this past weekend in Willoughby. Aussie did a wonderful job working the registration and finish line. It was nice having a teammate literally waiting for you at the finish line. Good weather, well run race… couldn’t have asked for more. Nothing too exciting to report, I ran… then biked… then ran again. Overall, I felt pretty good and actually had something left on the last run, which is always nice. A nice little warm-up race for Maumee.
Leah won the duathlon (5k run- 20 mile bike- 5k run), Jenn won the biathlon (5k run- 15 mile bike), and Nacho took an age group award. Nice showing by SSSMST!!!
And as Leah said, this is a great lead in to the Maumee Bay Triathlon/Duathlon on June 21. This race is always fun, and SSSMST will be there in full force!
