Nordonia Hills Duathlon, Sagamore Hills OH-Brandy Smith and Aaron Rood both had impressive performances at the Nordonia Hills Duathlon on Saturday. Rood finished 1st in his age group, and 4th in a very competitive men’s field. Brandy, after leaving T1 in 5th place, passed three women on the 10-mile ride. She held her commanding 2nd place overall in to the finish.
Deer Creek Triathlon and Duathlon, Mt. Sterling, OH- We had two team members travel down south this week to race at Deer Creek. Both Jenn Davila and Katie Grammes both raced very well in this traditionally competitive event. Jenn had a strong swim to anchor her 1st place age group finish, and her new Felt B2 from Spin certainly gave her an edge on the windy bike course. Katie raced a fast international distance duathlon from start to finish, finishing nearly seven minutes ahead of her nearest competitor.
