After a hiatus in 2006, the Edinboro Triathlon returned this year under sunny skies and gorgeous weather. Frank Pattison smoked the bike course to leave T2 in second place, a result he would hold in to the finish. Andrea Lamastra led the women’s field out of the water before conceding two spots on the bike, finishing 3rd overall. Bruce MacDonald had an excellent swim with strong bike and run legs for a solid 6th place in a challenging age group, while Andy Cornwell came out of the water with the 80th fastest time before making up a few spots to finish 2nd in his age group. Special thanks to Jim Lamastra for popping up all over the course for encouragement. The event was well run, showcased some excellent competition, and the local feel had us all looking forward to the Greater Cleveland Triathlon in August!
