weekend results: spin/second sole rocks huntington sprint– awards galore!

The team had a great showing at Huntington this weekend!  The weather was perfect, although leftover chop from wind yesterday made for a challenging swim.  In the women’s triathlon, Jenn Davila and Andrea Lamastra were 3rd and 2nd overall after great swims and consistent bike legs.  Swim Jim Lamastra ran away with the men’s triathlon, leaving the water in first, winning the bike, and finishing with a 17:42 run. Katie Grammes continued her domination of the local women’s duathlon field, winning by over a minute. Following Jim in to the finish were Bruce MacDonald, Andy Cornwell, Kevin Krol, Joe Bush, and Paul Lentini.  Bill Dieter’s relay finished third.  It was good to see the Jackson family, all decked out in their Spin Bike Shop finest to cheer.  Thanks to NCN racing for a great event! Check the results page for more information (and pictures!!)

Also, Scott Zubricky ran the 5-mile Johnnycake Jog on Sunday.  The Ohio classic had nearly 650 entrants in it’s 31st year.  Scott ran a 30:17, a great time that earned him 3rd in his age group.

Finally, Aaron Rood managed to get through a race without flatting to win the Bulldog Duathlon in Cortland, OH.  He had a comfortable enough lead that he lapped the 2nd place finisher!  When you come in to T1 after running the first 6-mile leg in 35:20, there aren’t many people who are going to beat you.
