Build your own soundtrack for this Thursday’s Indoor Trainer Class!

We’ve had a very successful series of classes at Five Seasons this fall, and as you probably know by now, the series will continue next spring.

Here’s your chance to get your favorite songs on the playlist for this week’s class– read on!

One of the fun parts about instructing the class is putting together a soundtrack, and then watching reactions when various songs come up. There are, apparently, some strong opinions about what constitutes a “good” song for workouts!

So, fine. You want to hear Mannheim Steamroller? We’ll play it. You want to hear Megadeth? We’ll play it. Leave a comment to this post with your song request, and we’ll have it in the rotation for this Thursday’s class! Obviously, anything truly offensive will be left out, but otherwise– it’s your choice! Let’s hear em.

  1. I hope no one *actually* wants to hear Mannheim Steamroller. I think I’d draw the line there.

  2. All things ABBA and Barry Manilow! Oh, wait, that’s Aussie Rob’s playlist. Sorry.

  3. Hey Tom, be careful what you ask for. I’m downloading one of each right now.

  4. KMFDM – “A drug against war”

    Soul Coughing – “Super”

  5. How ’bout some Third Eye Blind… “Motorcycle Driveby”
And maybe a tribute to Aussie Rob and Leah kareoke talents with a little “Land Down Under”

  6. This is my Happy Song!!! See you all Thursday!
Love Generation – Bob Sinclar & Gary Pine

  7. I don’t know about anyone else, but i hate it when a soft/slow song comes on in spin class. So, without getting into the metal –

    ACDC – Thunderstruck
Foo Fighters – Let it Die
    Grinspoon – Sweet as Sugar
Grinspoon – More Than You Are
Grinspoon – Champion (ok so im in the mood for some grinners)
    Prodigy – Funky Shit
    Smashing Pumpkins – Tarantula
    Tool – The Pot
Wolfmother – Joker and the Thief
    Zebrahead – Falling Apart

  8. Actually Jess, Pennywise does a rockin cover to ‘land down under’ šŸ˜‰

  9. Rob, do you have the cover?

  10. Aussie Rob’s hiding his inner adoration of all things Neil Sedaka.

  11. At least Sedaka has talent!

  12. Compared to the shadowy video I saw of two drunks singing “Land Down Under”, yes, Neil Sedaka has talent.

  13. We’re all a bit crazy for sitting on our trainers for two hours, so how about gnarls Barkley-crazy.

And franz Ferdinand- take me out. That’s a fun song too.

  14. Not a fair comparison; the acoustics in LVT are terrible šŸ˜‰

  15. Metallica – Whiskey in the Jar
    Iron Maiden – The Trooper
    UFO – Lights Out
    Black Sabbath – Neon Knights
    Izzy Stradlin – The River
Social Distortion – Ball and Chain
    Motorhead – Ace of Spades
    Green Day – Letterbomb
Scorpions – Someday is Now (actually got Ironman to add this to pre-race tun list – fitting lurics)

  16. Don’t forget about the CAMBA New Year’s Day Ride!!

Hope some of you guys can make it….

  17. Aussie Rob, I don’t know when Foo Fighters entered the metal genre. If it were up to me, I would ride to Techno for 3 hours. Perhaps I will bring my ipod so while you guys are all showering and eating, I will still be hammering down to some DJ Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren. Cya there.
