Not a whole lot going on around here this time of year, but if you’re a serious masochist this is a good weekend. Mike Schaefer will return to American Birkebeiner, a legendary US re-creation of a legendary Norwegian ski race. His report from last year was inspiring! If you need to get some race-speed miles for an early season A-race and have extra fingers or toes, there’s a road race for you:
- Saturday: American Birkebeiner 50k XC ski race, Heyward WI
- Sunday: Frostie Toes Road Race, Hartford OH
