This Thursday is the final indoor trainer class at Five Seasons. We always like to have a bit of a party on the last week, and we had a lot of ideas about what to do.
Last week, we got some good feedback about people’s preferences, and finally made a decision:
We’re going to do it all.
You want to ride outside? Great.
You want to ride inside? OK.
You want to do the HR test? No problem.
The best part is that aftwerwards, we’ll be hosting a social at Five Seasons, and you’re all welcome. We’ll have beer and food, so come hang out with all sorts of cyclists and triathletes to really kick spring in to gear.
This group is welcoming and fun, so there’s nothing to stop you riding with us this week.
Here are the details:
Outdoor Ride
6:30-8:00
Moderate to easy pace. If you’ve never ridden in a group before, this might be a good chance to learn the ropes. For those with more experience it should still be a nice, mellow ride.
Meet at 6:30 in Five Seasons north parking lot for a 1 1/2 hour ride.
Indoor Trainer Class
7:30-8:30
A solid intervals workout following our philosophy for indoor workouts. Just one hour this week, so we can get upstairs! 7:30-8:30. Cost $10, $7 for CTC, Five Seasons members always free.
Lactate Threshold Heart Rate Test
7:30-8:30
For those who train with heart rate, we’ll do a field test to estimate your Lactate Threshold Heart Rate (LTHR) on the bike. You can use these results to set up your training zones for the summer and get the most out of your heart rate training.
You’ll need a heart rate monitor that allows you to store the average HR, your own bike (is best), and a lot of motivation and mental fortitude. This is not easy. We’ll have more information on sssmst.com about how to prepare for this test tomorrow. 7:30-8:30, Cost $10, $7 for CTC, Five Seasons members always free.
Party!
starts at 8 or so.
Even if you can’t make any of the workouts, come say hi and grab some beer and food. Hope to see you there.
Pass it on!
